Mr. Paz-Soldan has represented various international textile and apparel interests, as well as agricultural concerns, during the negotiation, ratification, and implementation processes of U.S. free trade agreements with Central America, Colombia, Panama, and Peru. On behalf of clients in Honduras, Peru, and Ecuador, he has also worked on the renewal and enhancement of the Andean, Caribbean, and Generalized Trade preference programs.
At present, Mr. Paz-Soldan co-administers export trading companies that were formed by the U.S. poultry industry with counterparts in Central America, Panama, and Colombia to manage U.S. poultry shipments under rules established by various free trade agreements.
In the area of immigration policy, Mr. Paz-Soldan has represented foreign embassies in promoting immigration reform legislation and obtaining temporary protected status for various affected nationalities.
